COVID – 19 Important Patient Information
On Thursday 28th May 2020, the media announced that dental practices would be allowed to begin the processes of reopening from Monday 8th June. This was the first time we as dental professionals had heard of this date.
We are delighted with this news, however, our top priority remains the safety of both our staff and our patients.
We have been advised that "phase 1" of reopening will involve seeing Dental emergencies that cannot be helped with advice over the phone. These appointments can be made by phoning the practice. Our practice doors will remain closed and access will only be for those with a booked appointment.
Due to the national shortages in personal protective equipment (PPE) and current guidance from NHS England there may be limitations in our scope of practice and we may need to refer you to a local urgent dental care centre where the appropriate treatment can be provided. We have a full list of treatments that have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be calling to reschedule these as soon as it is safe to do so. At this time there is no need to contact the practice regarding routine dental appointments, however, as always if you have any concerns, are in pain or a have a dental emergency please give us a call on 01753 536601.
